CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the development of standards related to environment and climate change. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the creation of innovative solutions that promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple environment standards development committees, including facilitation, communication, member recruitment, and preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and draft standards.
- Oversee all aspects of standards development, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery within identified project timelines and budgets.
- Engage and manage a diverse stakeholder community, including industry executives, academia, and senior government officials.
- Apply sector knowledge to identify potential areas for new standards or training programs.
- Develop and secure new business opportunities within or related to environment and climate change.
- Coordinate with other departments within the company to ensure seamless development and publication of standards and business opportunities.
- Technologist or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years' experience in an environment-related field, including circular economy, GHG management, climate change, business or environmental management systems, and sustainability.
- Knowledge of the standards industry, government policy, industry landscape, and funding programs/models.
- Experience leading or working with multi-stakeholder committees or groups.
- Experience in writing proposals, business plans, and technical documents.
- Standards development experience or a history of working with standards is an asset.
- Designation as a Certified Project Management Professional, or equivalent designation/experience, is an asset.
- Research and analytical skills.
- High degree of self-motivation and open to learning and improvement.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong oral and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in writing proposals, business plans, and technical documents.
- Ability to learn and work with multiple software platforms.
- Competency with major Microsoft and Project Management software.
- Demonstrated experience managing the activities of others.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
