About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Assistant to join our team at 3331206 NOVA SCOTIA LTD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Mechanics and Tradespersons: Provide support to our skilled tradespeople, including moving tools and equipment, holding stakes during surveying activities, and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Assist with maintenance and repair tasks, including cleaning machines and immediate work areas.
  • Accessibility and Inclusion: Participate in initiatives that promote physical, visual, and auditory accessibility, and provide accommodations to support persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Participate in programs that support the settlement and integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources and language training.
  • Indigenous and Visible Minority Support: Participate in initiatives that promote cultural competency and awareness, and provide support to Indigenous and visible minority workers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
