Liquor Clerk Job Summary

As a Liquor Clerk at Federated Co-operatives Limited, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining department cleanliness, and operating the register with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and stock merchandise in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to department cleanliness and housekeeping standards
  • Operate the register with accuracy and efficiency, handling cash and credit transactions
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Participate in merchandising and display activities, including creating visually appealing displays and maintaining a high level of product knowledge
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the Liquor Store environment
  • Pro-Serve certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Previous liquor retail experience and strong product knowledge are preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Understanding of basic mathematical principles
  • Able to operate POS system and understand credit and debit procedures
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Repetitive physical labor required; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. within safe work guidelines
  • Ability to adapt to new technology
