Job Title: Drywall Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at High Think Drywall & Construction. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Work Environment:

As a Drywall Finisher, you will work in various locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials
  • Reliability and strong work ethic
