A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A COMMERCIAL SHEET METAL APPRENTICE:
Imagine this: you arrive at a lively construction site, equipped with your work gear, ready to tackle the day. Your morning begins with a brief meeting where your colleagues outline the day's objectives. You gather your tools, and with precision and skill, you prepare hangers and ductwork, install sheet metal components, and occasionally engage in cutting and grinding tasks. Your hands-on training and mentorship will enable you to master the craft of commercial sheet metal work, and your commitment will drive you to excel. As the day concludes, you leave knowing you have made a meaningful contribution to the development of our community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify for this position, you should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A strong enthusiasm for hands-on work and learning
Preferred qualifications: Training in fall arrest, scissor lift operation, and first aid.
WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION:
This is a full-time role based in Calgary and its surrounding areas. Your typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. We promote a flexible work environment that supports a healthy work-life balance.
