Our client, a prominent entity in the agricultural sector, is seeking a motivated and proactive Seasonal Agricultural Manager to oversee their operations.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work autonomously, demonstrate self-motivation, and thrive under pressure while showcasing initiative and leadership skills to enhance and expand farming activities.

Reporting directly to the Senior Agricultural Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing approximately 100 hectares of Pome Fruit, predominantly focusing on apple cultivation.

This position is designed with future succession planning in mind, aiming for the candidate to eventually assume the role of Senior Agricultural Manager within the next 3 to 5 seasons.

Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing and managing production processes including planting, irrigation, pest and disease management, fertilizer application, pruning, spraying, and harvesting.
* Ensuring quality control throughout the production cycle.
* Managing personnel effectively.
* Conducting basic maintenance tasks.
* Handling general administration and recordkeeping.
* Performing all other duties related to the role.

Qualifications:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Agriculture;

  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with pome and/or stone fruit;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Proficient computer skills;
  • Flexibility to work hours according to seasonal demands;
  • Valid passport required.
