Position Overview

As a Personal Finance Consultant, your primary responsibility is to cultivate and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and members, ensuring their financial needs are met with satisfaction. Your role involves actively listening to the financial aspirations of clients, providing tailored advice that aligns with their unique situations, and guiding them towards suitable solutions to achieve their financial objectives.

You will engage with a diverse clientele, including individual members and businesses, making interpersonal skills crucial to your success. Your expertise will drive results through the recommendation of investment options, loans, and insurance products, all while balancing client satisfaction with business goals, profitability, and prudent risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice to clients on optimal financial strategies and collaborate with them to define expected outcomes.
  • Manage client relationships, evaluate satisfaction levels, ensure service quality, and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Stay informed about trends in the financial services sector, market dynamics, and best practices relevant to your role.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives and represent the organization positively in various settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of one year of applicable experience.
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Mutual fund representative certification from the regulatory authority.
  • Proficiency in French is essential.
  • Awareness of current financial, economic, political, and legislative developments.
  • Familiarity with products and services available to members and those offered by competitors.
  • Understanding of debt management principles.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations regarding financial product distribution.
  • Comprehension of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial cooperatives.
  • Awareness of policies, legislation, and standards related to the products and services offered.
  • Familiarity with organizational processes and service standards.
  • Techniques for assessing and monitoring individual financing applications.
