Job Title: Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Indeed. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in driving innovation and improving our core search and recommendations platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop large-scale machine learning solutions to improve our matching platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and plan large-scale projects
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and influence our long-term technical strategy
  • Share expertise and mentor up-and-coming data science and engineering leaders
  • Propose and own initiatives that improve the efficiency and productivity of the data science organization
  • Leverage hands-on machine learning engineering experience to dive into code and help deliver on projects as needed
  • Educate fellow Indeedians on data science and machine learning engineering best practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in building, maintaining, and scaling large-scale machine learning solutions
  • Ability to translate product visions into actionable machine learning architectures and strategies
  • Effective in communicating complex concepts clearly and inclusively to a variety of audiences
  • Experience with backend development in Java, C++, or similar object-oriented languages
  • Skilled in coding in Python or R, with experience using machine learning tools and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, SageMaker, or LightGBM
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis tools and frameworks such as Pandas, Presto, AWS Athena, or Spark
