About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Blossoming Minds Learning Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare and Education
    • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Plan and lead activities that encourage creativity, imagination, and learning through play.
    • Establish a safe and nurturing environment that supports the well-being of children.
  • Staff Supervision and Training
    • Supervise and support staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and education.
    • Provide guidance and training to staff on child development, education, and care best practices.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure the well-being and progress of children.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that support the centre's mission and goals.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records of children's progress, including observations, reports, and assessments.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs that support the centre's operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
    • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).

    • Punctuality and dependability.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Interpersonal awareness and reliability.
    • Team player with a positive attitude.
