Industrial Millwright/Senior Operations Assistant Role

We are establishing a highly efficient coast-to-coast Canadian Grain enterprise designed to provide a unique competitive alternative to farmers and superior service to customers and stakeholders.

The Industrial Millwright/Senior Operations Assistant is responsible for maintaining all grain handling equipment throughout the Elevator/Terminal to support receiving and shipping grain by rail or vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain critical equipment daily and maintain monthly maintenance log (All Leg Gear Boxes, Elevating Legs, Dust Control Centres, All Screws, All Conveyor Belts, All Drag Conveyors, Spouting, All Cleaner Machines, Air Compressors and Loading/Shipping Spouts, Grain Sampling Systems)
  • Train, coach, and lead by example, junior employees
  • Ensure physical facilities/maintenance shops are clean, efficient, and well-maintained and communicate maintenance needs as required
  • Accountable for daily maintenance expectations according to supervisor/management instructions
  • Comply with environmental standards and all industry regulatory requirements
  • Support management team in staff training
  • Operate Terminal control systems
  • Comply with requirements of G3's Food Safety Quality Management System (FSQMS)
  • Comply with all Environmental Health and Safety Programs (EHS)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Be able to work in confined spaces
  • Be able to work at heights
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting
  • Certified Industrial Millwright or RedSeal an asset
  • Previous experience in ag industry/port terminal an asset
