About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team at EAT - EAST ATLANTIC TANDOOR. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing special events, including buffets and banquets.
  • Culinary Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, taking into account customer dietary restrictions.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen and work areas are clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Prepare and serve a variety of international cuisine, including South Indian, Kosher, Thai, East Indian, West Indian, and Halal dishes.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Possess the required certifications for the position.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
