Job Summary

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced French Language Educator to join our team as a part-time French Teacher/Tutor. As an Elementary French Coach, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem by providing personalized instruction and guidance in a small group setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels, utilizing the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Follow the provided curriculum and lessons, with no need for lesson planning
  • Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 3-8 French core curriculum
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 3 to 8 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong French skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
