Job Overview

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset, or equivalent experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate as part of a two-person team or in a convoy to ensure timely delivery.
  • Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
  • Drive and maneuver straight or articulated trucks to transport various goods and materials.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all vehicle operations.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch, relaying important information.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
Required Certifications
  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Documentation Skills
  • Proficient in maintaining a driver logbook
  • Ability to complete inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Experience in preparing trip reports
Equipment and Transportation
  • Experience with refrigerated and tractor-trailer units
