Position Overview:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in executing preventive maintenance tasks and is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing manufacturing machinery and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Collaborate with machine operators to identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, determining necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Dismantle machinery or equipment to assess components for defects or to replace faulty parts.
  • Replace defective components with new parts or fabricate replacements from various metal stocks when feasible and safe.
  • Adhere to all equipment service protocols to guarantee safety, reliability, and precision.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on all plant machinery.
  • Maintain an up-to-date log of preventive maintenance activities and any other documentation as required by company policies.
  • Be responsible for all company-owned tools and equipment, ensuring they are returned to their designated storage locations after use.
  • Educate operators on recognizing potential issues before they escalate into equipment failures.
  • Be an essential contributor to the daily setup of production lines and machinery.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) once trained.
  • Comply with all safety protocols when working on equipment, including lockout procedures and cleaning protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Assist operators with appropriate adjustments to machine settings to maintain desired production speed and product quality.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for equipment issues, seeking assistance from other maintenance technicians, management, or external resources when necessary.
  • Document daily usage of parts and keep the inventory of spare parts current.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Uphold safety standards while promoting safe work practices among team members.
  • Perform any additional tasks or activities necessary to maintain operations, safety, and cleanliness as directed by supervisors or management.
