Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology
Vancouver Coastal Health invites applications for the role of Registered Nurse in the Chemotherapy unit. This position is essential in providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing Chemotherapy treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients receiving Chemotherapy
- Function autonomously while also collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Improve the quality of life for patients and their families
- Engage with other healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices and protocols
- Contribute to hospital committees and participate in research initiatives
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in British Columbia
- Completion of a nursing program with relevant clinical experience
- Certification in Oncology is mandatory
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Strong foundation in nursing theory and clinical practice
- Understanding of Chemotherapy procedures and protocols
- Capability to assess and manage Chemotherapy-related care
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in using patient care information systems
