Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of ethnic dishes, including Cantonese cuisine, Szechuan, and Dim Sum, to meet the demands of our restaurant.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Staff Training and Supervision: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
- Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Language: Fluency in Chinese is an asset.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
This is a temporary position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail is essential.
