About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Supervisor to join our team at Sultan Construction Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, including laborers, carpenters, and other tradespeople.
  • Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Material Management: Coordinate the ordering and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training and coaching to construction team members.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a construction supervisory role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Setting: Ability to work in various locations, including construction sites and offices.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
