Animal Health Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at the 24 Hour Animal Care Centre. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our furry patients and their owners.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Treat Medical Conditions: Conduct thorough physical examinations and laboratory tests to diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks.
- Provide Medical Care: Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery as needed.
- Preventative Care: Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases, and advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
- Perform Routine and Emergency Exams: Conduct routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations to ensure the health and well-being of our patients.
- Supervise Support Staff: Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers to ensure the highest level of care is provided.
- Licensure: Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities is required.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Schedule: 36 to 48 hours per week.
