We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at the 24 Hour Animal Care Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat diseases or abnormal conditions in animals through physical examinations and laboratory tests.
- Prescribe medication, set bones, dress wounds, and perform surgery as needed.
- Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases.
- Advise clients on animal care, including feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care.
- Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations.
- Provide a range of veterinary services, including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia.
- Supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers.
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
