About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team at JRHS HOMES LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed layouts and measurements in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Coordinate and schedule work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Conduct site surveys and level checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • This is a physically demanding role, requiring the ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and withstand varying weather conditions.
  • Work Term: Permanent
