We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in improving our business processes and technology infrastructure.

Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with our stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements and objectives. You will analyze existing business systems, workflows, and technologies to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and objectives.
  • Analyze existing business systems, workflows, and technologies to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Create system design specifications, including functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to optimize business operations.
  • Coordinate IT-related project planning, including defining scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external business stakeholders on IT-related topics.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure that systems meet quality and functionality standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, system designs, and project-related materials.
  • Define and provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in business, information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, developing business processes, and knowledge of software development.
  • Knowledge of relevant software applications and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience is considered an asset.
