Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing department in providing high-quality care to residents, ensuring effective service delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve resident care, quality of life, and overall satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure seamless operations, effective communication, and timely decision-making.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including infection control, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective financial management and resource allocation.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and external partners, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and a member in good standing.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a Long-Term Care facility in a managerial and leadership capacity.
  • Proven knowledge of legislation relating to the Long-Term Care environment, including infection control, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
