Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee our dynamic logistics environment. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and exceptional service within our distribution center.

Employment Type: Permanent

Office/Facility: Lineage Hamilton

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring that health and safety protocols are prioritized and adhered to throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to uphold compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of safety, security, and cleanliness to maintain an organized and hazard-free workspace.
  • Engage with regional safety leaders to implement effective health and safety programs.
  • Work alongside food safety personnel to maintain rigorous standards such as HACCP.

People Leadership

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive team atmosphere, guiding daily operations and aligning team efforts with organizational goals.
  • Assist in the development and execution of communication sessions to discuss safety initiatives and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance of team members through coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of warehouse staff.
  • Oversee work schedules to ensure effective job assignments and track attendance.

Customer Experience

  • Drive superior service levels, ensuring that customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Measure and report on service standards, collaborating with the team to achieve and surpass these benchmarks.
  • Implement operational improvements to enhance service delivery.

Operational Excellence

  • Set operational goals in collaboration with management, tracking performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in stock handling.
  • Support cost control initiatives, focusing on productivity and expense management.
  • Provide ongoing training and guidance to warehouse staff to optimize operational visibility and customer billing accuracy.

Key Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
  • First Aid certification is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in high-volume inventory management and warehousing software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
