Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Operator to support our Arnprior team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient production of nuclear fuel components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete required paperwork for traceability of product
  • Inform Supervisor/Process owners on quality issues
  • Perform all required Quality checks daily
  • Ensure safe operating procedures are always followed
  • Strict adherence to Job Safety Hazard Analysis, Ontario Health & Safety Act & Regulations and all Plant Safety Rules/Protocols
  • Identify safety issues and concerns
  • Take corrective action; monitor the corrective action
  • Train/assist new employees on safety and quality requirements
  • Operate various machinery on shop floor, ie, Pilger Mills, Amtrex, Polisher, HPTR's,
  • Verify Quality requirements as per specifications for all products.
  • Meet demanding productivity goals
  • Perform repetitive work without losing effectiveness
  • Keep up with high-speed equipment and/or production demand

Requirements

  • Grade 12 graduate
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Able to work 8 hour rotating shifts
  • Able to participate on Emergency Response Team.
  • Flexible to doing Shift Work.
  • Able to work weekends if necessary.

What We Offer

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $36.83. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
