We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to join our team at Acme Transport Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation of goods and ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Manage the company's transportation budget and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Shipping and Documentation: Arrange for shipping documentation and track the movement of goods in transit to ensure timely delivery.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Negotiations and Procurement: Negotiate with service providers to secure preferential rates and ensure that all transportation services are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, and monitor revenue to ensure that the company is meeting its financial targets.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, organize, train, and manage a team of transportation staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Operational Planning: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the daily operations of the transportation department to ensure that they are running efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a transportation or logistics role is required.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
