Job Title: Lead Cook, e11even

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our team at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. As a valued member of our kitchen staff, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service and quality food products to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food products in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef, Chef, Manager or Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Provide training and guidance to Apprentice Cooks and Kitchen Workers to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and health and safety standards.
  • Report any equipment problems or maintenance concerns to the Chef.
  • Prioritize and organize tasks to ensure efficient service and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to a team-focused environment and maintain a positive relationship with FOH to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proven experience in a fine-dining restaurant.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Food Handler Certification (Basics.fst, Toronto Public Health, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a team-focused environment.
