About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Building Mechanics Technician to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our industrial building mechanics team, you will be responsible for participating in engineering, selecting technology, and executing projects in the mining, energy, and heavy industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in project conceptual studies and help write technical reports.
  • Actively participate in computer-assisted design of plans (2D and 3D) and in drafting specifications and details based on guidelines from a senior engineer or technician.
  • Perform design calculations, prepare material lists, and bills of materials according to codes, standards, drawings, and other established procedures in accordance with BBA's quality system requirements.
  • Perform technical information surveys, monitor contractors on site, and help commission and troubleshoot systems.
Requirements
  • College diploma in Building Mechanics.
  • Available for short-, medium-, and long-term work assignments outside the office.
  • Excellent knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French).
  • Asset: relevant experience in project management, cost estimates, writing technical reports, and troubleshooting.
  • Asset: knowledge of SmartPlant and CADWorx applications.
