About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drafting Specialist to join our team of engineers, technicians, and designers. As a drafter, you will play a crucial role in contributing to projects related to mining processes, mechanics, industrial piping, and plant systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare various types of drawings, including fluid flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, fire protection diagrams, and HVAC system diagrams.
  • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and designers to develop project layouts.
  • Apply BBA or client standards when drafting layouts, sketches, schematics, or diagrams from detailed drawings.
  • Produce preliminary plans for buildings, equipment, or sites from reference drawings or catalogues.
  • Participate in improving dynamic block libraries and other internal tools.
  • Assist more experienced colleagues with complex tasks.
  • Help prepare site surveys when required.
Requirements
  • Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in Building or Industrial Drafting or a diploma of college studies (DCS) in Mechanical, Building Mechanics, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Three years of relevant work experience or less.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Good knowledge of Revit.
  • Asset: knowledge of 3D software, such as SmartPlant 3D.
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French).
