About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Estimator to join our team at W.Luction Ltd. as a Cost Control Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, as well as project cash flow and financing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Cost Control
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and/or material costs for various projects
    • Project cash flow and financing requirements to ensure accurate budgeting
  • Contracting and Tendering
    • Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
    • Advise on tendering procedures and analyze tenders to recommend awards
  • Cost Monitoring and Reporting
    • Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems
    • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure compliance with budgets
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word
