Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Attendant to join our team at Ainsworth. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our property, including the parking, exterior, and amenity areas.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine cleaning duties, including litter pick-up, sweeping, shoveling, and pressure washing, as assigned by the Building Operator/Service Manager.
  • Conduct daily maintenance tasks, such as pool and hot tub maintenance, waste and recycling bin management, and garbage pickup.
  • Assist with the upkeep of amenity barbeques, indoor and outdoor potted plants, and outdoor shrubs and seasonal plantings.
  • Monitor and adjust irrigation systems for optimal efficiency and perform green roof maintenance, including weekly roof checks.
  • Enforce rules and regulations, respond to emergencies, and handle hazardous materials in accordance with OHSA rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Resident Experience Manager to ensure resident satisfaction and service delivery.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma supplemented with OHSA, WHMIS, and First Aid training.
  • Knowledge of basic building systems and general maintenance, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in property maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
