Position Overview

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking a dedicated Program Consultant specializing in evaluation. This full-time, permanent role is integral to advancing health equity and wellness for Indigenous communities through culturally-responsive evaluation practices.

The successful candidate will report to the Manager of Evaluation and Performance Measurement and will collaborate closely with the INTREPID Lab team. The primary responsibility will be to design and implement evaluation strategies that are rooted in Indigenous perspectives, ensuring that all processes are culturally safe and relevant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive evaluation plans for community-driven initiatives.
  • Utilize a variety of evaluation methodologies, including developmental, formative, and summative evaluations.
  • Facilitate dialogues with diverse stakeholders to enhance evaluation literacy and engagement.
  • Create relevant evaluation tools such as surveys and focus group guides.
  • Oversee the collection and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Contribute to organizational support services and knowledge exchange initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to Indigenous candidates (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit).
  • A Master's degree in Social Science, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field, or equivalent experience in health program evaluation.
  • Proven experience in managing and conducting evaluations across various settings.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and qualitative/quantitative analysis software.
  • Deep understanding of Indigenous evaluation principles, including OCAP.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse communities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This role offers the flexibility to work remotely while contributing to meaningful initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes for Indigenous populations.
