What is the Opportunity?

The Royal Bank of Canada is currently seeking an Associate to join a well-established team in the financial services industry. By joining the team, you will participate in growing the business by providing exceptional and efficient service and by taking care of administrative duties related to client accounts and by responding to client inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the professional servicing of incoming client contacts, including responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the Investment Advisor in general administrative duties in the management of client accounts, including data entry, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks.
  • Support the Investment Advisor in the preparation of client reviews and presentations, including researching and gathering information, and preparing reports and presentations.
  • Request information and documentation from clients in order to open accounts and keep client files up to date, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery, and monitor all pending transfers to ensure completion on a timely basis.

Requirements

Must-have

  • Related experience in customer service and professional setting, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Progressive in pursuing education, building your skills and professional experience, with a strong understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skill, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-have

  • Post-secondary education (college or university) in a related field, such as business or finance.
  • Certifications in customer service or financial services, such as CSC or CPH.
  • Relevant experience in the financial sector and knowledge of daily market development, with a strong understanding of financial products and services.
  • Enthusiastic, committed, and entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
