U-Haul Fleet Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our team at U-Haul. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks on our fleet of trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain U-Haul fleet vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify and repair problems with vehicles.
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality work.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Applicable Journeyman/Red Seal certification.
  • Experience working with heavy equipment and automotive mechanics.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
