Montreal, Quebec, Canada GMR Real Estate Limited Partnership Full time

We are seeking a reliable and skilled cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of our residential properties in Montréal, Quebec.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform general cleaning tasks in and around the property premises, including business offices, restrooms, laundry rooms, model apartments, and property common areas.
  • Follow daily checklists to ensure consistent cleanliness of the property premises, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning doors and walls, cleaning toilets and urinals.
  • Clean vacant apartment units in preparation for showing and occupancy.
  • Maintain the overall upkeep of the property grounds, including cleaning driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, dumpster areas, exterior hallways, or any other public areas.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly used, restocked, stored, and maintained to follow inventory control.
  • Empty and dispose of trash.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor.
  • Follow established safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants.
  • Assist maintenance staff with special projects as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, performing various cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance activities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies following the WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety Act would be an asset.
  • Ability to handle and operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers.
  • Ability to follow directions and handle projects while following all GMR safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Working Conditions:
  • This position involves regular exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Physical ability is required to lift and carry cleaning supplies, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexible hours may be required based on the needs of the business – weekends or holidays.
