Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

Kabab & Thali Restaurant is seeking a skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and that all staff are trained in sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in job duties, establish work schedules, and lead by example to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
