Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Ledcor Construction, Inc. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pipeline construction and maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain Ledcor systems and procedures at project start-up, including job site trailer/office set up and master filing system.
  • Perform recordkeeping functions, including review and distribution of documentation, preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines.
  • Support the contract management process through tendering and awarding of work or supply materials, and review of documents and inquiries.
  • Manage the change order process, including securing pricing from vendors/subcontractors, reviewing and inputting data, and submitting change requests to the owner/consultant for approval.
  • Facilitate the tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines, and assist with the creation of the project schedule.
  • Coordinate the review and distribution of drawings, including following up with trades/consultants, maintaining the drawing log, and drawing/sample transmittals.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for approval and assist with procurement of materials and equipment.
Requirements
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of related work experience in pipeline construction/maintenance.
  • Familiarity with pipeline construction methodology and practices.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents.
  • Knowledge of main construction office processes, including project set up, subcontract management, change orders, RFIs, lien holdbacks, and closeout.
  • Strong computer background, including experience with MS Word, Excel, and scheduling software.
  • Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal, written, and electronic form.
