Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development Planning: Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Support Services: Assist colleagues with household and kitchen duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Infant and Toddler Care: Provide essential care, including bathing, diapering, and feeding, to infants and toddlers.
  • Program Development: Design and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to children's diverse needs and interests.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain daycare equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children through storytelling, reading, and interactive activities, promoting language and literacy skills.
  • Communication: Synthesize children's progress and communicate effectively with parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Leadership: Supervise and coordinate activities of other Early Childhood Educators and Assistants, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Work Environment
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
