Job Summary

The Learning Child Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our child care centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Education
    • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to support their growth and development.
    • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
    • Lead activities that encourage creativity, imagination, and learning through storytelling, songs, and crafts.
  • Child Care and Support
    • Provide daily care and support to children, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
    • Assist children with developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
    • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to parents or supervisors.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other early childhood educators and staff to provide a cohesive and supportive environment.
    • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and needs.
  • Administrative and Organizational Tasks
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed.
    • Assist with maintaining records and reports.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
    • 5 years or more of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3) certification.
    • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
    • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
    • First Aid Certificate.
    • Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate.
    • CPR Certificate.
