About the Role

Maven Transport Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Accounting Systems: Plan, set up, and administer accounting systems to ensure efficient and accurate financial data management.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze clients' financial records to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for financial planning and management.
  • Compliance: Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures, and internal control.
  • Financial Planning: Prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies, and develop financial plans for clients.
  • Cash Management: Make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement, and estate planning.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting, and internal control procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation.
  • Financial Record Keeping: Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in accounting and financial management.
