Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage assigned development projects from initial acquisition to final assumption.
- Guide projects from undeveloped land through planning and development phases, culminating in project completion.
- Provide technical support during the due diligence stages of land acquisition.
- Prepare, update, and reconcile financial models for projects, advising stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Coordinate and manage land development applications, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
- Secure and manage consulting teams to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Monitor construction sites to manage schedules, costs, compliance, and stakeholder relationships.
- Supervise subcontractors to confirm work plans and allocate responsibilities.
- Draft contracts and negotiate modifications, changes, and additions to agreements with engineers, municipal representatives, clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Review and authorize invoices and accounts receivable.
- Provide guidance and support to staff and fellow managers.
- Develop and manage Cost Share Agreements with third parties from inception to completion.
- Oversee project letters of credit.
- Ensure compliance with all company, client, and legislative safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in engineering or a related field.
- Graduate degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of proposals, account planning, strategic analysis, and operational effectiveness.
- Proficient in relevant software applications and computer systems.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule as needed to meet project deadlines.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), regulations, and internal policies.
- Report any contraventions of the OHSA, regulations, or company health and safety policies.
- Understand and apply established procedures for handling materials and equipment safely.
- Utilize all provided safety devices, ensuring they are in optimal condition and report any defects immediately.
- Promptly report all injuries, incidents, hazards, and unusual conditions to a supervisor.
- Attend all required health and safety training programs.
