We are looking for a skilled Physical Security Specialist to enhance our security measures at Control Risks. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our clients' events and ensuring a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Client's event security team in executing secure and successful events, which may include both large internal and public gatherings.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of venues in the Toronto area, with potential for limited evaluations at additional locations across Canada.
  • Provide essential security requirements related to event floor plan designs.
  • Collaborate with Client and vendor stakeholders to establish effective event security protocols.
  • Create a tailored issues management playbook for specific events.
  • Support the development of broader corporate security initiatives, including executive protection and travel risk management, as directed by the Client.
  • Undertake other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in government, corporate security, or a comparable position.
  • Experience in event security or close protection.
  • Proficient in identifying and addressing threat-related issues in various event contexts.
  • Capable of providing calm and timely guidance in high-pressure situations.
