We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations and Utilities to join our team at iuvo BioScience, llc. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in public works and utilities management, with a focus on strategic planning, budget management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor a team of managers to oversee the operations and maintenance of public infrastructure, including roads, municipal buildings, signage, parks, and greenspaces.
- Develop and manage annual departmental operating and capital budgets, ensuring alignment with the departmental business plan.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including municipal leadership, Parks Canada, interdepartmental teams, residents, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other SLT members on cross-departmental issues to ensure cohesive service delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public or Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in public works or utilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Incident Command System (ICS) 300 or higher.
- Professional designation in a relevant field, such as Professional Engineer (P.Eng), Project Management (PMP), or Public Works Professional-Management (CPWP-M), is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and strategic planning.
- Extensive knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal regulations related to public works and utilities.
