About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in North York, Ontario. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical systems design leadership and project management for design mandates throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical systems design leadership and project management for design mandates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Preparation of electrical specifications, obtaining information from equipment suppliers, and incorporating in designs and specifications.
  • Attendance to client, consultant, and contractor meetings.
  • Co-ordinating with Utilities and Municipalities regarding incoming services.
  • Preparation of schematics, project documents, and engineering calculations.
  • Independent review of shop drawings and review of quotations from contractors.
  • Providing technical directions to junior designers and CAD operators.

Requirements

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario (registered in other provinces is an asset).
  • Minimum 10 years' design experience on various building types, with a demonstrated track record of electrical design of complex building systems.
  • Familiarity with design requirements for Building Power, Lighting, fire protection, and Communications systems, as well as relevant building codes.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to work on several projects at one time.
  • Extensive skills with AUTOCAD, REVIT, Word, Acrobat, and Excel, with Micro Station, Power simulation software, and other design tools an asset.
