We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RACF Security Specialist to join our team at Axelon Services Corporation. As a key member of our Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) team, you will play a critical role in designing and executing projects aligned with the RACF security function.

About the Role:

This is a senior-level position that requires advanced knowledge of RACF, ZSecure, and Mainframe infrastructure. You will work closely with other infrastructure teams and business supporting technologists to provide security guidance and engineering solutions. Your strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills will enable you to coach RACF team members and provide on-call support and maintenance outside of normal working hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Security Architecture and RACF engineering and policy teams in developing technical solutions to business problems based on security best practices.
  • Provide RACF engineering support for MS Mainframe Security products and initiatives.
  • Design and assess technical feasibility of proposals to achieve the Security initiatives of the Firm.
  • Design and support Firm's mainframe initiatives related to authentication, authorization, and automation.
Requirements:
  • Senior level: 10+ years related work experience as a RACF Engineer or Administrator.
  • Advanced experience with IBM RACF and IBM-ZSecure configuration/internals (engineering focus).
  • Ability to program in JCL, REXX, and CarLa.
  • Experience with z/OS utilities and facilities (such as: TSO, ISPF, SDSF).
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with CA/Broadcom Top Secret Security.
  • Experience with distributed technology (such as: UNIX, USS file systems).
  • Prior experience with Systems Programming, Mainframe Network engineering, Middleware (such as: MQ Series, etc.).
  • Knowledge of PERL, shell scripting, OpenSSL, SSH.
