Are you dedicated to enhancing the lives of pets through exceptional care? We are seeking a skilled individual to take on the role of Veterinary Technologist Specialty Team Lead .

As a vital member of our team at the Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre, a proud member of VCA Canada, you will oversee the Specialty Technician team while collaborating closely with the hospital's leadership to uphold a positive image and continuously improve hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate training and orientation for new team members,
  • Develop a fair and efficient schedule for the team,
  • Manage vacation coverage coordination,
  • Promote cross-training among various hospital departments,
  • Assist in performance evaluations,
  • Participate in patient care as needed to support the emergency response team and overall hospital operations.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule tailored to meet individual needs. The role will involve 50% hands-on work within Specialty services as a Registered Veterinary Technologist and 50% dedicated to administrative responsibilities.
