Job Title: Veterinary Technologist Specialty Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our team as a Specialty Team Lead at the Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our specialty team, providing exceptional patient care, and working closely with our hospital's leadership team to promote a positive hospital image.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and orientation for new team members
  • Creating an equitable schedule for the team
  • Coordinating vacation coverage
  • Cross-training within the hospital departments
  • Assist in performance management
  • Involvement in patient treatments as necessary to support the ER team and overall hospital support
