About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Ruman Holdings Ltd. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles.

Estimate and Manage Inventory

Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.

Quality Control and Customer Service

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customer complaints or concerns, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Record Keeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a high level of pressure. The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The successful candidate will also need to be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience

The successful candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service establishment.

Language and Communication

The candidate will be fluent in English and have excellent oral communication skills.

Teamwork and Flexibility

The successful candidate will be a team player with flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
