Job Title: Full Time Shipper/Receiver

TEAMS Transport is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Time Shipper/Receiver to join our team in Winnipeg.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Count and inspect freight or damages, shortages, and other discrepancies.
  • Strip trailers and stage freight in the warehouse, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Unload trailers according to established procedures, minimizing damage and freight claims.
  • Move freight to Company standards, optimizing time and processes to reduce damage and claims.
  • Monitor BOLs, shipping manifests, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dock/work area, adhering to safety protocols and Company standards.
  • Operate a pallet jack and hand dolly as needed, ensuring safe and efficient movement of freight.
  • Practice all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other duties as required to maintain objectives and meet Company goals.
Requirements:
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • A high attention to detail is essential for this role.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, take pride in their work, and be a problem solver.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are key, as the candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to read, sort, and understand shipping manifests is crucial.
  • The candidate must be able to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
  • They will be required to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season.
  • The ability to lift up to 50lbs from shoulder to floor, standing and walking for the majority of the shift, is essential.
