Position Overview

As a Senior Project Scheduler, you will collaborate closely with construction and engineering teams to develop and maintain comprehensive schedules for various projects. Your primary responsibility will be to create and adjust timelines as significant milestones are achieved and new deliverables are incorporated into the project scope. You will also keep project stakeholders informed about the status of project timelines.

Project Scope

The projects under consideration encompass a diverse range of sectors, including transportation infrastructure, energy production, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide detailed planning and scheduling from initial concept through to construction execution.
  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules that outline activity lists, critical milestones, essential approvals, and procurement timelines.
  • Assess the implications of design modifications and delays, communicating any necessary updates to management and clients.
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of engineering and construction terminology to create and uphold logical critical path networks, ensuring realistic planning and forecasting based on historical data.
  • Offer expert guidance and support in addressing complex project control challenges, engaging with clients as necessary and producing analytical reports.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project scheduling, particularly with Primavera software, including expertise in time impact analysis, cost loading, and resource management.
  • In-depth understanding of construction engineering principles, codes, and standards, along with a solid grasp of the interrelationships among various functional units.
  • Experience in delay analysis and forensic scheduling is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Project, and Excel.
  • Functional proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is advantageous as interprovincial mobility may be required.
