About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse I to join our team at NL Health Services. As a LPN I, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Conduct health assessments, administer medications, and develop nursing care plans
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Current licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CLPNNL)
  • Successful completion of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program
  • Current BLS certification
  • Gerontology experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of seniors' issues and support best practice in gerontological care
  • Ability to deal effectively with end-of-life issues
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently
